(Cause I'd do just about anything for makeup..including eating brains!) KIDDING!

Milani Glitzy Glamour Gloss

Hey Zombies!

I've become OBSESSED with lip products these days thanks to my friend Maria. I have these gynormous lips and I have to be careful what I wear because I DON'T want my lips being the focal point on my face. So, I have been checking out more neutral lighter glosses and lipsticks that that will prevent fish face. We went to Target yesterday and as I was skipping down (I mean walking) the makeup aisle I came across a Milani display. I've never really stopped to check out their products. But I saw the price tag of (CHEAP!) for the glosses and was intrigued. I now own my very own Milani Glitzy Glamour Gloss in "Puttin' on the Glitz." And WOW! I wore it all last night and my lips felt soft and smooth, not at all sticky or tacky. It does give you a hint of color without being overbearing. And it smells like Watermelon!! (SCORE!) I purchased my gloss for $5.99 but prices will vary from store to store. You can also purchase it on the Cherry Culture website or any other online stores that sell Milani. (Google!)

Rainbow Eyes

I did this look last Spring when I was a stay at home Mom with too much time on my hands during the kids' naps. As you can tell, I wanted a bold (IN YOUR FACE!) look. This was my first major "look" when I really started getting into makeup.

All shadows are from my Coastal Scents 76 Palette. And on my lips I have NYX Diamond Sparkle Lipstick in Sparkling Salmon.
Which can be purchased here:

Have you ever achieved the "rainbow eye" look before? How did you create it?

Avon Super Shock Mascara

For a LONG time now, I've been die hard fan of Benefit's "Bad Gal Lash" mascara. That was until I started selling Avon. I came across the Super Shock mascara on sale and decided to give it a whirl. It has that funky plastic wand that is all the rage. I get the mascara and try it out. Wow.. I was honestly amazed at the quality. Though I'm a rep for Avon, I can honestly say it's really hit and miss with their products. This one was a HIT! You can choose from brown or black, but I prefer black. Your lashes looks fuller and longer with minimal clumping. I like the wand because it makes it easy to separate your lashes and you don't get as much product out of the tube which in turn ends up on your lashes in a clumpy mess of goo. Give it a try. At $8.50 a tube, you can't beat that. And most of the time Avon is having a sale where you buy 1 get on 1/2 off, or 2 for 1.And as a matter of fact, it's on sale on my Avon site for $4.99 a tube! Check it out here:

Cherry Culture 20 - 50% Off Sale

Cherry Culture is having a major sale! 20 - 50% of select items (I adore NYX) until Jan. 24th at 11:59:59 CST. Get your goodies now.. HERE -

These are just a few things I've purchased through NYX. Came nicely packaged and in one piece. 5 stars..

Original 88 Palette

Because this was the very first "palette" I ever purchased, I thought it only fitting to review it first. To be honest, I bought this palette and have rarely opened it.

Upon deciding to create a
beauty blog, I gave this a second look. And I am totally impressed. There are tons of colors to choose from: matte and shimmer. And WOW, are they pigmented. I especially love all the pink and purple colors. I will have to do some looks with this palette. Most of the eyeshadow are creamy and easy to blend. A primer and base are recommended for lasting color. The only negative thing I have to say about this palette is the packaging is shoddy and cheap- and leaves fingerprints galore. I highly recommend keeping a wipe handy for clean up.

I purchased my Original 88 palette from Ebay but you can purchase it here at Coastal Scents:

Mine was cheaper than the one from CS, though they are the same product. It's because I ordered direct from Hong Kong. Buying this way, you have to be careful because a lot of the time your makeup WILL arrive broken. It's still worth it if you want to save a little money.
