I don't know about you, but I'm glad Thanksgiving is over and done with. I love the day, love the food, but hate the anticlimactic feel when it's all said and done. And then of course now everyone's gung ho for Christmas.

So, I had to quickly do a look with 4 of the 5 colors I received ( Everything is Bears, Meowth, Team Rocket, and Lance the Dragon Trainer.) I also got 4 samples with an incredible amount of product! Hellz yeah!

I'm a Sugar Plum Fairy..BISH!

Hey my Zombies!

So the past two weeks, I have been looking everyWHERE for the new Wet N' Wild holiday sets. I especially wanted "Night Elf" and I couldn't for the life of me locate them anywhere. I went to Target, Wal-Mart, CVS, and Walgreens and not just one of each place. I've been on "the hunt." Just as I thought I was doomed to never have one, I found a small display at (get this) my local GROCERY store! I literally drew in my breath and my son was like "What, Mom, what's wrong." They had every pallette and 4 of each! And they were only $3.99! (this is where the *squeeeee* came in.) Holy hotshit batman! I snatched up Night Elf, but couldn't take my eyes off of "Sugar Plum Fairy." What an amazing palette. Well, honestly, they both are. And the colors are so soft and smooth and blend like a dream. I swear, who needs MAC when the smaller companies out there are coming out with affordable makeup at such terrific quality?!

Swatch Spotlight! Persephone Minerals!

Good morning Zombies!

I wanted to first say a big "THANK YOU AND WELCOME" to all my newest followers!

Recently I was sent 5 samples from Persephone Mineral's Sailor Senshi "The Mars" collection for review. The reason I was itching to try these out was because of Mars Crystal Power. I'd seen swatches all over the internetz and it was calling my name. It's a gorgeous pink with orange shift. I love it!

My favorites from this collection are Mars Cystal Power and Mars Flame Sniper (burnt Orange with red and gold glitter, FTW!)

*Fun gift ideas from CrazyDog T-Shirts*

Evening Zombies!

I don't know about you, but I have a few people in my life who are extrememly difficult to shop for come gift giving time. Most of the men I know have everything they need/want and the women I know are content with giftcards. I thought it would be fun to mix it up a little this year! Fot those hard to shop for people, I'm going to get them TShirts to fit their pesonailites.

I got this great idea from CrazyDog T-Shirts. PR for the site was looking for bloggers to review their website/product and I happily jumped on that bandwagon because I love novelty T-Shirts. CrazyDog sent me the following two shirts to review.

(This was a no brainer when I saw it.. MUST HAVE IT!) $14.99

(The shirt says "Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya, you killed my father, prepare to die".) $17.99

The shipping was lightning fast from CrazyDog! And the quality of the T-Shirts are to be expected from a cotton tee. They are soft and seem very durable. The prices are very reasonable as well and there are so many cool variety of shirts to choose from! Something for everyone on your list, even those hard to buy for people.

I don't have a clever title..LOTD!

 Good evening Zombies!

Yeah, not coming up with a super clever title for this look, so let's just get to it!

::The Goods::

I used my 88 shimmer pallet for this look. Mostly the greens and some of the golds mixed for the upper lid. Purples for the lower. I then blended "Lyrical" by Sassy  Minerals into the crease and used Morals in a Hold by Hi-Fi Cosmetics as a highlight. I don't know that I like Too Faced shadow insurance. It causes my NYX pencils to crease. :(  I guess I'll have to play around with it. I just added my new Hard Candy lipgloss in "Dunes" to finish the look with some shine!

Anything exciting happen in your lives today? Mine? Nothin'!

!Fun with darker colors! LOTD!

Ello' govna! (Do any of you know the YouTube "makeup guru" who says that all the time?! She's got long brown hair, she's kinda stange?) For whatever reason I've always wanted to begin a blog post with that phrase!

ANNNNYway! My baby son had to have shots today. 6 of them!

So I was feeling a little melancholy on his behalf and decided to use some of my darker pigments. So, in playing with my makeup, this is what I came up with.

Stila on Hautelook!

Small Stila pallets are on Hautelook today for $10.00! There are two pallets to choose from, each with 4 eyeshadow and 1 blush! Get yours today!

Let me know if you pick up one of these cute pallets!

Feeling...Blogged down.

Hey Zombies!

I'm feeling a little "weird" these days about this whole blogging business. Do you ever start to feel like you're too involved with the beauty blogging community? Like you know too much about makeup, too much about someone's drama, dislikes, etc. TOO MUCH! And then I've noticed a lot of my recent posts have been swatches, because when it comes down to it, I'm too tired to do my makeup, which is the WHOLE reason I started this blog.

I adore doing reviews of companies and swatching beautiful colors, but what's the point of having them if I never use them?

That being said, I have decided to officially dedicate the next week to nothing but playing in my makeup. I'll be doing a new look each day. This is something I'm going to make myself do to rekindle my love with makeup. I don't like that I'm starting to feel like it's a chore. This is my "outlet" my "happy place." I refuse for it to turn in to something I "have" to do.

So, in the next few weeks, you'll see more "looks" as opposed to swatches. I do have a few reviews coming up, but I'll stagger them so they aren't back to back. I've also decided to only do reviews if I am contacted by a company. If I purchase makeup for myself, I won't feel obligated to review it, but I will do more looks with it. :)

Also, I'm going to start up a new theme for bloggers to contribute to. I don't know what the "look" will be just yet, but keep your eyes open for that too.

Happy Sunday Zombies!

NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencils. OOOooo creamy!

Evening Zombies!

Tonight I felt like showing you all my collection of NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow pencils. I don't know where I'd be without these bad boys. I remember "Milk" being my very first one, when I really got into makeup, because everyone was raving about how amazing it was as a "sticky base." And OH WAIT, there are so many more colors too. Be still my heart. (Yes, I love them THAT much!) For my birthday I picked up a few more to add to my collection. (And a backup of Milk.) I picked mine up at Ulta for $4.19 but Cherry Culture has them for $3.50 each!

In my collection so far:

Milk: creamy white
Black Bean: creamy black (new to me)
Slate: creamy pewter
Rust: creamy rust color- hints of maroon in certain light (new to me)
Purple Velvet: creamy dark purple (new to me)
Lemon: creamy lime color (lemon? really?!)
Pots and Pans: creamy silver
Strawberry Milk: creamy light pink
Purple: creamy periwinkle. Purple with blue shift (my favorite!)
Electric Blue: creamy teal with silver sparkles (new to me)

Now, if you're just starting out with makeup these creamy jumbo pencils are great to use all over the lid (over a primer) for a vibrant eyeshadow look. It's best to apply and then blend the color in (with clean finger or brush) until there is just enough color so that it's not overwhelming on your lid. Once you add the shadow on top, the colors POP! If you've blended well enough, there is very little creasing with these. Milk sometimes creases if used heavily and not blended well enough. I honestly can not do my eye makeup anymore without my creamy base. AND they are a great alternative to more pricey eyeshadow bases out there.

What's your favorite NYX Jumbo pencil color? Do you use them as your eyeshadow base?

Sassy Mineral Review and !SWATCHES!

Good evening Zombies!

I have had my lot of Sassy Mineral pigments for over a month now and I've been either 1.) too busy to post them or 2.) too under motivated to post them. I first heard of Sassy Minerals on Shop My Stash's Blog. Her swatches were freaking amazing and as you know, it's all about the swatch for us makeup geeks! So, I placed an order then and there. period. One cool thing about Sassy Minerals is that their pigment samples are .75! Yes, you heard that right .75 AND they come in jars! Holy hot-bat-shit batman, that's a steal!... Well, yes and no. The price rocks yes, the product is nice yes, BUT they come in false bottoms with what I'd eyeball as 1/16th of a tsp. (Ok, Ok, what do you expect for .75 WENDI!??) I just see that as a waste of space/resources using the jars for such a small amount of product.

(Read more and see swatches after the cut!)

!My favorite blush! A SHOWDOWN!

After purchasing NARS "Orgasm" last week, I had a tinge of buyers remorse, seeing as I already had Milani's "Luminous" blush.  These two really are similar enough that you don't really need both. Orgasm is slightly more pink however and has longer staying power. The surprising "lasting power" winner in this lot was Maybelline's Dream Mousse blush in "Peach Satin." After having the swatches on my hands for 2 hours, it's the most vibrant of them all.

I chose the following 6 blushes, because in my eyes, they are similar and ones I use frequently.

Nars "Orgasm"
Milani "Luminous"
Ulta "Afterglow"
Hard Candy "Living Doll"
Fyrinnae "Captivate"
Maybelline Mousse blush "Peach Satin"

Birthday's are FUN! Major haulage!

Good evening Zombies!

So this last birthday was pretty freaking awesome. I did some major beauty "hauling" without even meaning to. I got some kick ass gift certificates this birthday and was able to splurge on some things I wouldn't normally purchase. Plus, the grand opening of Ulta was last weekend, so I picked up some NYX and Ulta "stuffs."  I don't normally do haul posts, but I wanted to share all my goodies with you. Oh and the popcorn brush holder..yeah. that's temporary. I had them in my husbands Storm Trooper candy holder..and he gave me the "look."

Hip Hop Hooray, it's a MAJOR award!

I got a blog award today from Principessa Grassa (She makes me giddy!) And I thought I'd play along.

  1. Say who gave you the award
  2. List ten things you like
  3. Pass the award on to ten other bloggers

1.) Principessa Grassa gave me this award cause she pretty much kick ass and looks good in long flowing skirts!

2.) 10 things I like in no particular order:

My little family (including my husband)
Makeup (DUH!)
The smell of "Fall" and all "Fall" scented candles
Drinking coffee in the evening
Coming up with creative ideas
Sleeping (but I never have time to)
My friends
Unique nail polish colors
Playing with Photoshop
My Mom

3.) It was hard picking just 10 awesome and down to earth beauty bloggers that I adore, so I chose 11! I gather so much inspiration from the following women and they also feed into my makeup addiction in one way or another! LOL

Kitschy Suburbia
Just Peachy
Stay Beautiful
Silhouette Screams
Snooglerat's Randomness (Check out her awesome freaking zebra nails!)
Pretty Bottles
Lady in a Top Hat  (Her swatches ROCK!)
Painted Moogle
Tianne Marie

Make sure you pass this award on to 10 bloggers you adore and let's spread that word about how amazing our beauty community is!

Abducted by Zombie Aliens on a Sunday afternoon! *LOTD*

Earlier this week Albuquerque introduced the grand opening of our first Ulta store. Which happens to be only 10 minutes from where I live. Can you say STOKED?!  Today the best friend is picking me up and we're gonna go see what we can find. I went to the grand opening celebration on Friday WITH my 3 year old and 18 month old. Yes, I am a die hard makeup fan. LOL

I am also very impressed with Meow Cosmetics Alien Abduction, Friday the 13th, and Zombie collections. I was able to pick up a few samples before they disappeared.

Anyway, this is how I am going out today!

!Polar Bear Sting...LOTD!

Hi Zombies!

I hope you're all having a great weekend? I know I am. It's been relaxing..sorta.

My husband is with his best bud at their "studio" tonight, and I'm alone..

So to cheer myself up tonight, I did a fun look with gold, pink, and grey. (You can hardly see the grey in the pics though.) It turned out so pretty that it's a shame I have nowhere to go this evening.

!Digital Zombie LOTD! featuring Morgana Cryptoria!

Afternoon Zombies!

I’m finally to the point of  'settled ' into my new role as stay at home mom. I refuse to watch TV all day, so I decided to play with makeup instead. I received a full makeup brush set (Happy Birthday to me!) yesterday and had to try them out. I love the way this look came out. I still adore Digital Faerie from Fyrinnae. It’s still one of my favorite eyeshadows.

Seeing Red! Lippie Galore!

Good evening Zombies!

Is anyone else disappointed that October is over? For me this is the month of hot air balloons, changing leaves, fresh crisp air, my birthday and Halloween. After October it's all a blur. Thanksgiving, Christamas, New Years, OH MY! I really wish life would slow down just a touch. It's going too fast and I'm getting too old.

I received a Sephora gift card for my birthday and besides Nars "Orgasm" blush (I couldn't help myself!) I was lusting over a matte red lippie. I scoured Sephora but refused to pay the outragoeus prices for a lipstick, knowing that Revlon had some great matte red lipsticks. So, I picked up a red liner and a Kat Von D lipgloss that was on sale for $9.00! I then went to my local drugstore and purchased Revlon matte lipstick in "Really Red". Holy hot shit Batman, this lipstick is HAWT.

~*My Halloween LOTD!*~

Good morning Zombies!

I'm sure you're all thinking I'd do some crazy Halloween look, which I was going to do, but after moving all day and getting home just in time to shower and get my kids ready, I had no time to go all out. So, I threw on some bright red lipstick, (review to come) some Living Doll blush by Hard Candy, and my daughter's
Cinderella crown. VIOLA!! A high maintenance princess was born. Yep, sounds like me!

I hope you all had a spectacular Halloween!
