Good evening Zombies!
TGIF! We're in a world of smoke over here in NM because of various fires burning throughout the state, so it's been kind of a quiet (inside) day.
I was recently given the opportunity to review a new and upcoming company called Rockeresque Beauty Co. and wanted to share my swatches with you. (Of course!)
Per the website:
"Founded in May of 2011, Rockeresque Beauty Company (RBC) focuses on providing the best vegan cosmetics. RBC offers a complete palette of gorgeous colors to choose from so that you can achieve any look. These range from primary hues with a punch, to luscious and intense dark shades. RBC is happy to, not only offer quality and cruelty free products, but also cosmetic education about what you are wearing on that pretty face of yours."
I was sent 3 full size (5 gm) jars and 5 small sample baggies, as well as a neat little button with the Rockeresque logo lightning bolt. A nice touch, I thought. The business cards are AWESOME! Simple on the front with an awesome picture of a model on the back.
The jars were shrink wrapped with a sticker over the sifter- which I personally love. Although, sometimes the little tab comes off the sticker and then you're digging around in the jar trying to get the *((&*(^&*( off. Whoops, I took a side road there. Anyway, back to the review. The ingredients in each shadow was also listed on the jar, as well as on the listing of each eyeshadow.
Each color was soft and creamy and so easily blended into a swatch. I actually ooo'd and ahh'd a couple of times as I was swatching. Each color is unique and super pigmented. I was absolutely impressed with the colors in the baggies when I first saw them, but never judge a book by it's cover Zombies!
Do you SEE now what I'm talking about? Holy shit dudes, look at "XOXO" and "Misshapes". I almost died when I swatched "Misshapes". I can honestly say I do NOT own a color like this, and I am freaking stoked about it. "Teardrop" neared second in *squee* factor with "XOXO" hot on their heels. Honestly, every color is so pretty. I'm not a HUGE yellow person, but "Chicklet" looks like such a fun color and "Little Lamb" is a great teal color. All of these colors with the exception of "Schoolyard Crush" are mostly shimmer. "Schoolyard Crush" does have silver sparkle throughout.
Yep, I'm excited about this company and can not wait to use these colors! The owner Issanna is a doll and seems to have come far from some recent drama due to another shitty company. Rockeresque's core line is small and limited, but I don't think that's a bad thing, especially with such great core colors. Full size jars are $6.00 on the website and samples are $1.00.
You can also find Rockeresque on Facebook and I know there are lots of fun things and offers coming up on the page.
Have you tried Rockeresque Beauty Co? What are you thoughts and favorite colors?
