Detrivore Cosmetics review, swatches, and LOTD!

Hey Zombies!

This post has been a long time coming. I've been meaning to purchase from Detrivore Cosmetics forever, but never seemed to get around to it. It was one of *those* companies that was there and I knew it was good but for some reason I just never took the plunge. Well, I finally did.

I took part in their buy 3 full size eyeshadow for $10.00. I was also sent 3 sample baggies with my order as well! Full size eyeshadow are $4.00 normally and samples are $1.00. (Samples are super generous!)

I ordered: (descriptions from the website)

Omen: Omen is a medium purple satin eye shadow.
Sphinx: Sphinx is a satin copper eye shadow loaded with gold sparkle.
Brine: Brine is a bright blue-green aqua color.

And received the following samples:

Damage: Damage is a rose colored eye shadow with gold shimmer
Revenant: Revenant is a deep green satin eye shadow
Midas: Midas is a deep rich golden yellow satin

I forgot to swatch Sphinx with the lot, because well...my son lost it for a minute.. *sigh*

O M G. The first thing I noticed right away was the buttery smoothness of these eyeshadow. They were SO easy to blend and glided right on my skin. Also, the pigmentation.  Incredible. Especially Midas. I have trouble with yellow colors and this one is freaking off the CHAIN! (haha) It is so smooth and gorgeous. Damage would make a gorgeous blush. It's got beautiful gold shimmer throughout and is so soft. Sphinx is wonderful and so shimmery. And  There is glitter in it, but it's not over the top at all. Brine...what can I say? Gorgeous! I am so pleased with my order, I WILL be placing another one as soon as I can.Detrivore is definitely one of my top 5 favorite indie makeup companies now!

I also did a look today using Brine and Omen. (How could I not?!)
