Dark and Gothy! Collab with Snarky P!

Happy Thursday Zombies!

My kids..they are being quite "fun" today (/sarcasm), so they are taking a "quiet time" while I get this post up. I think the days of naps are officially behind me. *sob*

Anyway, I'm feeling dark today, and thought I'd show youz what I did on (to) mah face!

Ok, so it's not so much "goth" as it is dark and vampy. I can't go full on goth no matter how hard I try!

Zombie scowl!

The Goods:

Wet and Wild "Night Elf" palette
As well as "Velvet Vampire" by Fyrinnae in the main lid area
Random liners and mascara

NO blush

A mixture of black and reddish lippies and liners to create THAT color?

So, check it out, since we've been slacking, Snarky P's gonna put up a dark and vampy look on her blog as well. Next Thursday we'll officially start our new collaboration! (not telling you what it is yet!)

Who says they can't go together.?! Coral, Pink, and Yellow!

Lot's of craziness in the good ol' life right now, hence the lack of post-age...POSTAGE?! Moving along...

Last week ( I know, I'm slacking!) I asked on Twitter and Facebook for 3 colors that *shouldn't* normally go together and that remind everyone of "Summer." I got a lot of coral, pink, and yellow as the answer, so that's what I went with. As I did this look I realized these colors DO go together and very well!

The Goods:

Evil Shades Spectrum Pot in "Nano Yellow" on main lid as base
88 Shimmer Palette bright yellow color patted on top of Nano Yellow and into inner lower lash line
NYX "Yellow" added to main yellow
88 Shimmer Palette coral and light orange color mixed- patted above and into crease and into outer lower lash line
My Pretty Zombie "mNg #1" blended into crease
88 Shimmer Palette matte white under brow bone and to blend
MUFE aqua liner in "Iridescent Fuchsia" upper liner
Wet N' Wild  ColorIcon liner in "White" water line

ELF "Pink Passion" blush

Morgana Cryptoria "Coraline's Kiss" and MAC "Impassioned" mixed

Hope you enjoyed my bright look! Happy Hump Day Zombies!

Swatch Spam! Evil Shades "Spectrum Pots" and Zoya!

Yay Zombies, it's FRIDAY!

I am having some margarita as I type this, so life seems pretty good.

Who's ready for some

I am wearing an awesome mani this week of Zoya's "Jacy" and "Roxy". (Horray for 4 letter names!) I used each color on every other finger and this is how it looks. LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Per Zoya's website:

Roxy: A sheer red-toned purple base loaded with bright purple glitter.
Jacy: Unique red-toned berry-purple with bright magenta and violet metallic shimmer

Also, Andrea from Evil Shades sent me samples of the new Spectrum Pots for me to check out and swatch for you! These will be comparable to NYX's Jumbo eyeshadow pencil or any creamy eyeshadow base. A 3 gram jar costs $4.50.

I am loving these and can't wait to see how they work under eyeshadow! Hopefully she'll make a white and black pot. *wink wink*

Happy Friday Zombies!

Lancome Haul from CCO + LOTD!

Happy Monday Zombies!

Last week, when my Mom and I (and the kidlets) were coming back from California, we stumbled upon an outlet mall in Barstow, CA. I squeed my pants when I saw a CCO within the mall. Rushing toward it like a kid about to enter Disneyland, I walked in, only to see that the only cosmetics they had was Lancome. *deflate* BUT, I did find some really awesome colors of eyeshadow and a couple lip glosses. The eyeshadow singles averaged $5.00 as compared to $17.00, as did the lip gloss. The most expensive thing I purchased was the eye shadow duo at $9.80. Originally $28.00! I can't believe how MUCH high end makeup costs. Thank goodness for CCO's!

I couldn't get any good swatches of these colors and so I decided to just do a LOTD with some of them!

Lips: "Stormy Pink" by Revlon with "Rose Nectar" on top

Cheeks: "Living Doll" by Hard Candy

The colors were not as pigmented as the mineral eyeshadow I'm use to wearing. And for a retail cost of $17.00, you'd think they'd be more pigmented- ironically "Luring" is the most pigmented of the 4 singles. In the pan it looks gray, but it's a gorgeous light blue with lavender shift. I really do love it. I'm also smitten with "Trendy". They ARE very easily blended though and the quality seems to be good, so that was a plus. I also like the packaging. For some reason, I'm digging pressed eyeshadow more and more these days. The pans look a *little* bigger than MAC eyeshadow.

Both of the lip gloss are nice. Not too sticky, and have a light scent and taste. Rose Nectar has no color payoff, but Golden Rouge does have a nice golden shimmer on my lips.

Would I pay full price for these eyeshadow? NO. period. I WOULD check out CCO's and clearance bins for these cosmetics on sale though, because I do like the eyeshadow and would love to pick up some bolder colors.

What products of Lancome do you love and suggest?

Sleek Sunset Palette LOTD!

Hi again Zombies!

I must be subconsciously craving reds and oranges on ze eyes, because this is day two of an "orange-ish" look.

A few weeks ago, Ms. Wendy of Turtle Beauty, took a little vacation to LONDON and picked me up a little somethin' somethin' while she was there. I gave her $10.00 and was able to get this beauty! (swatches will come in a later post!)

Sleek "Sunset" palette!

Annnnd, had to do a "look" with some of the colors! There isn't one color that isn't SUPER pigmented. I am shocked.

The Goods:

I used the red (first row, second color) as the main lid color (over Evil Shades primer in "Nude") and blended the black into my crease. I then added the orange color ( first row, 4th color) above my crease, adding a tint of the yellow color (next to the orange) to blend. I used the champagne color (last color in 2nd row) as a highlight and dragged the black and taupe (first color, 2nd row) down into the lash line. I then added some random liner and mascara.

Cheeks: Milani's baked blush in "Rose D'oro"

Lips: Revlon "Raspberry" lipstick

Anyone else love this palette?

Hard Candy "Visibly Wet" lip crayon REVIEW!

TGIF Zombies!

Hope you all had a nice week. I've been recuperating all week from my crazy, quick, trip to California. I *think* I'm back mentally.

I wanted to do a quick review on the new Hard Candy "Visibly Wet" Shockingly Glossy lip pencil. I have the color "Jezebel" to show you today.

First off...I am not sure how I feel about the name including "Visibly Wet" in the title. Maybe I have a dirty mind, but it just seems a bit weird to me. That aside, this lip crayon really does look glossy and "wet" when applied.

This lip pencil reminds me of Milani's Lip Flash pencils, though it's MUCH more flashy and FULL of  fuchsia sparkles. This pencil is also very 'slick' and comes off quite easily once applied. I didn't notice it ever fully "drying" which because of the name must be a good thing. Full of pigmentation, I think this pencil would make a good night time color. Trust me, it's SUPER DUPER in your face and a lot of fun!

Jezebel, along with a few other colors can be found at your local Wal-Mart or purchased from the Wal-Mart website for around $4.50 to $5.00.

Have you tried any of the new colored Visibly Wet pencils? What are your thoughts?

* The product above was provided for consideration from Hard Candy. Opinions are my own and honest.*
