I'm alive! Seeeee! I'm posting!

Zombies!

I assure you, I'm alive and kicking. I decided to take a much needed (5 day) hiatus from the internet and I'm so glad I did. I'm back and refreshed!

See, I even put on makeup today. (It's been like, a week+ since I did!) It felt so weird to have it on, that I edited the picture like shiz, but you get the point!

That lipstick was kind of a happy accident. I used Jordana Cosmetics lip liner in Cabernet and added a bright pink lip gloss with silver sparkles..it just turned out like this. SCORE!

I have some kick ass reviews coming up on a few well know drug store brand goodies. People have been raving over them, and you'll see why. Oh and swatches of new indie orders and looks and showcases and all that good stuff! STAY TUNED!

Black and White Showcase for NTMS!

Zombies!

Last week, we had a little "showcase" or "challenge" in my Facebook group Never Too Much Sparkle! to create a look that was "Black and White" themed. It was completely open to interpretation and was SO much fun seeing what everyone came up with. This was by far the most participation in our showcase yet. I wanted to share the looks with all of you!

2012 Jordana "Glitters" nail polish swatches!

Hey Zombies!

I have a super glittery post for you today! I was given the opportunity to swatch the new Jordana Cosmetics glitter nail polishes for you.

*I encourage you to click each image for maximum goodness!*

I swatched all of the glitter over Zoya's "Raven."

All together now!

Ummm, yes! Not only are these nail polish gorgeous, but they were actually REALLY easy to apply! And you can't deny that they ALL look awesome over a black base!

These babies retail for $2.99 each, depending on where you're able to snag them, and the bottles are HUGE, so it's a damn good deal.
My favorites are:
Sequins (I love the small red glitter in this polish surrounding big bigger pink and blue glitter!)
Lunar Lights (can't wait to try this over other base colors!)
Cosmic (teal and blue glitter, of course it's awesome!)
Fairy Dust (holographic glitter, FTW!)
My Superstar (a fun chunky glitter!)
Funky Gold Town (DUH, see the pictures for yourself!)

Do you see anything that strikes your fancy?

New Hair and Quick LOTD with Darling Girl Cosmetics!

Happy ass Sunday Zombies!

This weekend went by WAY too fast! We were 50% busy and 50% lazy this weekend. It was nice.

I changed my hair on Friday. I just had a wild hair, and went and got some Clairol hair dye! I don't remember the name and threw the box out, but it claimed to be a medium cherry auburn. I sectioned off the bottom of my hair from the top and went to town. It was interesting trying to keep the red from running into the blond when rinsing my hair. I also added a little bit more bleach to the pink that is in my hair, but it didn't seem to want to budge! It's ok, it'll fade out eventually. What do you think?

^^ see the blue GLITTER!?!

I can't tell you exactly what I am wearing on my eyes or lips yet, because they are not yet released, but the colors ARE from Darling Girl Cosmetics and they ARE Valentine's Day themed. hehehehe

Good news though, on my cheeks I'm wearing "She-Bop" blush, which Susan created to be a similar shade to the coveted Nars "Orgasm" blush. It's very very pretty! And currently in the shop!

I hope you all had an amazing weekend!

Blogger Spotlight! Lisanne the AMAZING!

Zombies...

I am actually pretty speechless about today's guest post. When I asked Lisanne to do a guest spot with a purple smokey eye, I was NOT expecting it to be this amazing. I opened her pictures, gasped, and sat and stared. they are THAT good. Get your asses over to her blog NOW and follow.

I got a message by Wendi from Makeup Zombie and I was soooooooo excited: she asked me to do a guest blogpost on her blog! Thanks so much Wendi, I thought it was the most awesome thing ever! I had no idea what she expected me to do because I'm new at the whole guest blogpost thing. But it wasn't that complicated, I could just tell something about myself, add the pictures and tell what products I used. Sounds easy enough.

So lets get the introduction out of the way first. I'm a 30 year old make-up addict from the Netherlands. I used to blog with a lovely group of ladies on a bigger Dutch blog and visitors there always said they loved to see my looks. But it just got too much work so I quit that and made myself a smaller blog in English. I decided to do it the simple way and call my blog "Lisanne blogt" which means Lisanne blogs in Dutch. I love playing around with my makeup most of all and I wanted to focus on that on my new spot. I've been doing this since November last year and it's been amazing! I met so many lovely bloggers and even more lovely ladies on Never Too Much Sparkle. I have no idea what else to tell you, if you want to know more, visit my blog or ask in the comments.

Wendi told me I could do whatever I wanted but she said she would love to see me do a purple smokey. Well, your wish, my command! So I got to work and made a purple smokey eye... And I wasn't happy about it. So I did another one. Still not extremely happy... AARGH!! So I figured third time's the charm and if I didn't like that one either I would just kick myself in the butt, stop being overly critical, pick one and stick with it. So I did that and picked the last attempt. It's with a dark purple smokey eye and dark lippies, I know most would pick a light lip with smokey eyes but I just like the dark ones better. :)

But I promised Wendi I would use some cool lashes and when I was working on the look I used black regular ones because it looked like that would suit the look best. But I had to go ahead and try the funky ones too, they're just so much fun! I got rid if the dark lips and I removed the blob of glitterliner in the outer eye corner and tadaaa... Purple party peepers!

I hope you liked this look. I didn't want to flood Wendi's blog with too many pictures of lil' ol' me so if you check out my blog you'll find more pictures. Thanks for reading and thanks again Wendi for asking me!
