New Milani Shadow Eyez 12 Hr Wear Eyeshadow!

Good evening Zombies!

I have some new goodies to show you from Milani! I'm SO excited about this post..seeing as how I've recently stopped using my coveted jumbo eyeshadow pencils as a base under my eyeshadow, due to creasing, these bad boys have come along at just the right time!

Per Milani:
SHADOW EYEZ 12 HR Wear Eyeshadow Pencil (SRP $5.99) big and blendable 2-in-1 color rich pencil, use as shadow or liner. Creamy smooth, long-lasting, water-resistant, crease-proof and paraben-free formula. The next generation of shadows that you sharpen. Available in 6 shades. Exclusively available at CVS.

Ingredients

Let's first talk about consistency! Each color is so smooth and creamy! That being said, they don't crease. After a few minutes, they become tacky to the touch but don't budge either- making the perfect canvas to apply mineral or dry eyeshadow. Once they are completely dry, they stay in place. There is no doubt that these are 12 hour wear! Personally, I like to use pencils like this as an eyeshadow base under my eyeshadow to make my colors POP! I'm excited to try these out and tell you if they crease under my shadow. Judging from the wear on my hand swatches however, I highly doubt that they will crease. If you're interested in wearing these alone or as a liner, instead of as a base, I am sure over a good primer, these won't budge..maybe ever. lol

The pigmentation is amazing! As you can see from my swatches, Royal Purple (which has blue sparks throughout, btw), Aquatic Style, and Green Safari are extremely bright and bold! Winter White, Champagne Toast, and Brown Deluxe are good for the more neutral at heart, but still so intense, bright, and pretty! Winter White takes a few more swipes than the others to become as opaque as you see here, but even with layers, it dries quickly and doesn't smudge.

Over the next couple of weeks, I will be experimenting with these pencils and will let you all know how I like them. So far, I'm really digging them!

Do you see any colors that catch your eye? I hope you're able to snag your favorites!

90 Days of Beauty, Day 78! Moi Minerals Quickie!

Hey Zombies!

Soo...our weekend comes to a close. Did you do anything exciting this weekend?

Last week I received a fun care package from Holly at Moi Minerals. She sent me 5 of her new Intense Blends eyeshadow and a Kiss My Lips gloss! I have swatches for you all.

The Intense Blends remind me SO much of MAC's crushed pigments in consistency and pigmentation. They blend down to an almost metallic finish. Very pretty, and a little goes a LONG way!

My favorites of the lot are River Rain Field of Gold and I love Chiller Attraction! It is so smooth and creamy on my lips.

If you haven't been to Moi's website, I recommend you run, not walk and check it out. one of my favorites from her store is Diego, a medium taupe with a strong blue shift. Lovely!

Have you tried Moi Minerals yet? What are you favorite products from them?

Chinovi Cosmetics! Review and Swatches!

Happy Hump Day Zombies!

I was recently given the opportunity to try out the new indie makeup company Chivoni Cosmetics and wanted to share the gorgeous colors with you! So, let's just jump right in.

Everything was packaged in a zip lock bag within a bubble mailer and the eyeshadow came in clam shells- aside from the sample baggie that was included, with the name of the eyeshadow on the front and the back. I love the clean and simple logo design.

Here is the back of the clamshell.

Swatches!
(everything swatched over Fyrinnae's "Pixie Epoxy".)

I am actually in love with every single color. Funhouse, Slip, and Secret stand out to me the most. Each color was extremely easy to blend and pigmented. The colors, while bright are also soft with just the right amount of sheen, shimmer, and and/or sparkle.

The company is still new, so at the moment, they offer bulk clamshells at a set price..Such as 13 clamshells for $10.00. I completely think that it's worth your $10.00 for 13 of the colors, and there is something for everyone!

I'm really excited about Chinovi Cosmetics and can't wait to try more colors! The owner Vanessa is also a complete doll!

Do any of these colors stand out to you?

Milani Powder Eyeshadow! New for 2012!

Zombies!

I hope you've all had a wonderful weekend. This evening, I have for you a new post thanks to Milani. I'd like to present you the new Milani Powder Eyeshadow single eyeshadow in 12 new colors for Spring/Summer 2012!

Per Milani:

POWDER EYESHADOW (SRP $4.49) super pigmented, easily blendable, crease-proof , silk-like powder eyeshadow. Playful colors in both matte & pearl finish that can be used as shadow or liner. Available in 12 shades. Exclusively available at select CVS stores.

I love the fact that these are packaged individually as opposed to crammed into a palette! The packaging is a bit on the bulky side, but mostly the lid. I feel there is a lot of wasted and heavy plastic- but the product itself is awesome.

The back of the package. Each eyeshadow is labeled with all this jazz on the back- i.e: name, ingredients, and weight.

Swatches Left to Right: Just Perfect, Shocking Pink, Brown Stone, White Lie, Tickled Pink, Pitch Black, Pearl, Olympian Blue, Purple Shock, Caramel Brown, French Vanilla, and Gold Dust.

The 12 colors come in Matte and Pearl shades- no glitter and very little shimmer. I did really like the matte formula though White Lie was pretty chalky. Of the mattes, Pitch Black, Brown Stone, and Shocking Pink were the best in terms of application and very little fallout from being too chalky. Word of warning, Olympian Blue stained...bad.

The pearl colors were pretty. Some of the lighter shades took 3 swipes to get much color pay off such as French Vanilla and Tickled Pink. But, Purple Shock, Just Perfect, and Caramel Brown are AMAZING! They are pigmented, almost creamy in texture, and so easy to blend. I'm in love with these three shades. Just Perfect reminds me a lot of MAC "Steamy" and Purple Shock reminds me of my coveted MUA Shade #9.

For less than $5.00 each, I believe these are a great way to add to your collection without breaking your budget. I feel there is something for everyone in this collection.
