Rainbow Polish Cupcakes and Lollipop!

Zombies!

Just another week, but this week it's FALL! I love this time of year so so hard. It also helps that the Mists of Pandaria just released today and my husband happened to pre-order it for me a while back. I figured I'd have to wait until my birthday in October! Fun surprises are fun! Is anyone else playing World of Warcraft?

Last week I posted a review on Rainbow Polish as indie nail polish company on Etsy. You can see that post here. Today I have the continuation to that post. Today I'm swatching "Cupcakes" and "Lollipop" for you. I am insanely in love with Cupcakes. (The polish version too. haha)

First up: "Cupcakes"!

The macro shot.

"Cupcakes" of China Glaze "For Audrey"

I just love this glitter! I love the various sized glitter pieces, and especially the light pink squares. I love the tiny blue and pink glitter scattered without the polish. I love the white hexagonal pieces. I couldn't feel the glitter chunks on my nails after applying Sech Vite either. I am just in love with this! It looks amazing over a black base as well!

Next we have "Lollipop"!

The macro shot.

"Lollipop" over Essie "Blanc"

This reminds me SO much of those gigantic jawbreakers back when I was a kid in the 80's/early 90's.

"Lollipop" was the mini sized bottle I received with my order. It is mini, but not small enough to make you wonder why even bother! This is another fun glitter with bright and different sized glitter throughout. So much fun and so many possibilities with this glitter! Again, once Sech Vite was applied, I could not feel the glitter on my nails.

I'm loving my glitter from Rainbow Polish and can't wait to purchase some more to play with, especially THIS one! Head on over to the Etsy shop and grab some bling for yourself!

Rainbow Polish "Monarch" Review!

Zombies!

I was able to place a small order last week from a cute indie nail polish company called "Rainbow Polish" and wanted to share my goodies with you! I purchased two full size polish in "Monarch" and "Cupcake" and received a mini sized polish in "Lollipop" for my review.

Today I'm going to review Monarch and stagger the review of the other two! I really dislike changing my polish every day.

Everything was packaged so lovingly in a mailer box with bubble wrap. The bottles seemed very secure to me.

Macro shot of Monarch

Obviously, Monarch is an amazing Halloween glitter! It was created with the Monarch Butterfly as inspiration, but it's perfect for spooky nails too! There are large black square pieces of glitter, setting this apart from the other glitter in my stash. I love the scattered tiny orange, black, and yellow glitter as well as the bigger hexagonal pieces. This glitter is so unique and is like nothing I own. I think it would look so kick ass over a white base! This polish is a little chunky, but Sech Vite over the top cured that quick! ADORE!

The Goods:
Milani base coat
Essie "Licorice" on all fingers but ring finger
Milani "Yellow Whiz" on ring finger (worst.name.ever)
Rainbow Polish "Monarch" as bling
Sech Vite top coat

Have you tried Rainbow Polish? What are your thoughts or favorite glitter from them?

*Yes, this is still a makeup blog, but I've really not had the time to makeup lately. And when I do, I haven't taken any blog worthy pictures. I'll get back on it, but in the meantime, you get to see my nails! ;)

Savage Cinderella, NOTD!

Zombies!

It's another dreary day here in New Mexico and I LOVE this weather. The weather inspired my manicure last night and I wanted to show it off to you all. It was overcast as I took the pictures, but they still came out pretty freaking cool!

The Goods:
Milani base coat
Sinful Colors "Savage" base color
1 coat of Sinful Colors "Cinderella" over base color
1 coat of Sinful Colors "Pearl Harbor"
1 coat of Finger Paints "Motely" to top it all off
Sech Vite top coat

*I realize that Sinful Colors has been involved in some stupid drama lately, but I owned these polishes before all that and "Savage" is an awesome color. I probably won't be purchasing Sinful Colors again until they make things right with the bloggers they stole images from.

Have a great day everyone!

New Makeup Zombie Banner!

ZOMBIES!

It's so rainy and gloomy here today and I LOVE IT!

Speaking of love, did you see my new banner? Isn't she beautiful? I have an up and coming semi-professional artist friend named Todd Alan Benevidez who created it for me. (Click the banner to be directed to his Etsy store!)

I adore the zombies that Todd creates (among his other work) and thought it would be awesome to see his take on "Makeup Zombie", thus my awesome new banner was born.

Take a look at his Deviant Art page HERE and follow him on Twitter! Show this dude some love!

Thanks again Todd!

Dove Damage Therapy Conditioner Review and Sweepstakes Alert!

Happy Hump Day Zombies!

I have an exciting review for you today!

I was recently given the opportunity to review the new Daily Moisture: Damage Therapy Conditioner by Dove. This conditioner claims to give up to 2x more moisture than other or similar conditioners and nourishes dry, rough hair to restore softness.

My thoughts?

Let's start with the smell. If you've read my blog long enough, you should know I'm super picky about smells.Luckily, this conditioner smells like heaven. It's got a scent close to the Dove deodorants which I've always loved. The scent also lingers in my hair long after the conditioner has been rinsed out.

I used the conditioner for a week straight substituting my usual conditioner for this one. My hair was SO soft after just one use. I have very coarse hair because of all the abuse I put it through and I was pleasantly surprised by the results. Being that my hair is color treated, I'm careful with the products I put in my hair to avoid fading. I noticed that the Daily Moisture conditioner didn't cause any fading when combined with my regular color protection shampoo.

I'm really excited about this conditioner and curious to see if it will truly help repair my damaged and unruly hair! So far, so good. You also can't beat the price! The Dove line of shampoo and conditioners usually retail for under $5.00 a piece! SCORE!
